well we are now all moved into our new home, we have a new car (ok its a used car but its new for me LMAO), new bed, new mattress, new bed linen (its the first time we have had a really nice bed set, but man are they expensive).

We were having issues with the internet and were thinking that we might not be able to get ADSL here and that we would have to get Telstra cable, but this morning the ADSL was connected so Telstra are my heros of the week (normally I hate them LMAO) because they fixed it, we don't use them for the internet but they control the lines so they are the heros LMAO.

Now I have to go catch up on what has been happening in the world.

we are having to move house due to the place we are in now going up for auction. Origionally we were looking to move to Melbourne, but there were some issues with that, so we had to start looking around here, we were very very lucky and got a place at Capalaba cheap, if we hadn't go that then we would be moving to places neither of us really want to live.
We get the keys next week, so we are busy packing, which means, no scrapping, no knitting, and not much net time. When we do move we will have 2 weeks of no ADSL eeek, how horrid is that going to be.

Anyway Merry Christmas, I know most people probably don't bother reading here anymore due to me never posting, but hopefully once our crazy life is sorted I will be able to be on more often...

She's Back

well well well, I have to say I am rather happy, last week (or was it the week before I can't remember) I went out and got the new Jewel cd "Goodbye Alice in Wonderland, and I have to say, it would have to be my favourite Jewel cd. I am so happy that she is back to her old style (although it is a bit more country but its is freaking fantastic), I really really detested the last album, 0304, and wan't really fond of the one before that, This Way, but man, I am love love loving this. Favourite some would have to be last dance rodeo but I know that will change, it always does lol.
If you wanted to hear a bit before buying there are some videos here but I really really recommend to anyone who likes the old style Jewel to go out and just buy the cd, you wont regret it...

A new baby in the house

I got the phone call informing me of our new arrival while I was picking up the boys from school and kindy, our new baby had finally arrived. After over a week of waiting I am finally a parent again, to a beautiful baby mac mini....hahaha got you.

It is so much smaller then what I originally thought, and it weighs alot more then I thought too. I already got the monitor and speakers last week (unfortunatly they only had black and silver in the monitor we got, would have loved to have got the white and silver ones, but the speakers are white and silver and match the mini and my old eMac so well, you would have thought they were apple speakers or something lol).

Oh and news on the side, the "You Can Fly" layout won Zina's challenge, got a $5 gift voucher YAY!!!

Monster Fruit

well we have a grapefruit tree in our yard, was there when we moved in, will probably be there when we leave, and it even has a mongo tree growing right up next to its trunk so its almost like a grapefruit/mango tree lol.
Anyway I was in the kitchen this morning and noticed there was what looked like a ripe fruit on it and mentioned it to Garry who went out and found this monster. It is 43cm around (almost 17") and rather heavy. There was also another one on there that is still green and when I measured it was 38cm (around 15")
Too bad I don't like grapefruit LMAO

ok 2 new layouts, first was done for the sketch challenge at Scrapboxx, and second was done for the first challenge at Beyond Apperances. The second one is also a digital layout using some papers from Shabby Princess and brushes from Miss M and the ones you get with Photoshop.

well I got this program called Skype the other night, it allows you to make and recieve phone calls from your computer cheaper then using a land line. I only really got it cause its $2 to call my parents and alot of the time when I call they arn't even home so I am paying $2 for a 30 second call to hear my brother saying they are out. Anyway, you can also use it as a messenger sorta thing but with voice and that is free. So does anyone have it cause I want to test it out lol...

also if you do I just added a button in the sidebar to connect straight to me hehehe (can you tell I really wanna try this thing?)

LMAO well we had to head up to the shops today to get a few things, and on the way Garry mentioned that he dad to go to Dick Smith (for those who don't know it is an electrical store named after this famous Aussie guy called, well, Dick Smith, lol. Shannon misheard what Garry said and pipped up with "where is Big Stiff?" It was really lucky that we were stopped at a set of lights as I think I would have crashed the car given how hard I laughed lol.

Unfortunatly we had to call RACQ when we finished our shopping as the car is being a pain the the butt. Thankfully he took about 10 minute to show up, and it was the same guy I had last time the car was mucking up (about 3 weeks ago lol). He sid it was some stabaliser thingy and said it was clogged up or something (its really lucky that Garry was there cause I so don't get cars lol). He showed Garry where it was and how to take it off so he can clean it out. He was going to do that tomorrow, hopefully it will fix the problem, as I am so sick of having a car that stalls when ever I stop at lights...

ok, nothing much happening here, Rohan is sick, so both Garry and I are suffering from lack of sleep.

Went to the GC last Monday to meet some of the girls from Scrapboxx. OMG McKenna and Eli are so super cute hehehe.

Anyway for those of you who are regulars you will have noticed there is a new layout. Still working it all out, but please let me know what you think and if you find any bugs...

well Rowwie had a fun day today, he eventually discovered he was a clown and stopped growling and was fine with being a clown. They had a real clown come visit and apparently he had a rabbit called Marshmallow which he turned into a bird. Oh and they had a sausage sizzle for lunch, actually worked out cheaper as it cost be $2.50 but normally he would take 2 peices of fruit (I usually give him melon or strawberrys or even red cabbage, we seem to be the only parents who send them with something other then apples and oranges lol), yogurt and a sandwich.

Meanwhile Shannon had a big day too, I had to go to the dr and Shannon managed to get a jelly bean off him, then when I went to the bank he got a balloon, sticker, pencils and 2 minties, and then when I was getting bread at the bakery he got a free finger bun, I swear that kid was radiating "give me things" vibes LMAO, I need some of those vibes like "Give me $1M" or something lol...

Rohan the Tiger Clown

Just got back from dropping Rohan off at kindy, they are having a "Dress as a clown" day because today is Red Nose Day. He was all set to be a clown, until this morning, when he decided he was to be a tiger. So I painted his face and didn't mention looking in the mirror, then I said how tigers have yellow hair, so the wig got on the head, and then how they have pink noses, so the red nose got put on too. When I dropped him off at kindy he started chasing the kids around growling, was rather scary having a short clown bare his teeth and growl at you LMAO

No scrapping, no loosing weight (thats thanks to schools that send your kids home with chocolates to sell, bad school, bad), um, I did get my hair cut, will have to get a photo of that one day, I really hate taking photos of myself.

Rohan had me cracking up laughing this morning, he is sick (yet again) so rather then dropping him off at Kindy he walked home with me after dropping Shannon off at preschool. As we were walking along he asked why Shannon went to school so I said "because he is now a big boy which means he is a school boy and you will be a school by soon too" and he replies "yeah, I'm a home boy". I just couldn't help myself I had to laugh.

I went to Forest Lake last week to meet up with some of the Boxx girls. Was lots of fun to get to meet them all, would have been more fun if I had of had money to spend, but hey, what you gonna do? We discovered that Erica and I should not drive anywhere near each other, and I also discovered that it doesn't matter how prepared I think I am, I will always get lost if using the motorway, I did manage to get the right exit for the Logan this way (last time I ended up down at Dreamworld!), but this time I was driving along and a sign says the exit I need it just after the next toll. Now when a sign says "just after" it means "just after" I completelt missed the exit and ended up having to get off at the next one and work out where the hell I was lol.
And would you believe it? I got home and realised I had (a) forgotten my camera, and (b) no-one had taken any photos. Yikkes, what were we thinking?

I also found out on Tuesday that I am up for jury duty as of the 15th for one month, that should be wonderful.

ok I am talking about the computer again hehehe. I got my eMac back, yay, my nice shiny white baby is sitting right infront of me. It has a lovely new desk too (ok I am not really telling the truth there, it is a new desk but it is cheap, got it at Ikea for $35 lol).

Anyway here is the desk I got, now just imagine a beautiful crisp white eMac sitting on top of it...

Sickness Sucks

well the kids have both been sick since about Thursday, and ofcourse, when the kids are sick, the parents get sick, Garry has been sick since Saturday and I picked it up yesterday afternoon, I am so sore, my nose is running one minute and blocked the next, I am coughing and have a headache, hopefully it passes cause I have walking tomorrow and am on morning tea at playgroup on Wednesday.

I applied for the design team at Diversity Designs but didn't make it due to me being in Australia but I have been offered a spot doing articles for them and being a moderator, which is alot more then I expected when I applied hehehe. I was rather shocked when it was offered to me.

On Wednesday we took the boys to the cafe at Mt Cotton for breakfast, they both loved it so much, they got to look at the chooks, ducks, pony and cows and they both at all their meal, they got a sausage, bacon, egg and toast and it was only $6 which I thought was really cheap considering how much some cafe's charge. Will definatly have to take them back there again.

"The Cleveland Lighthouse" was done for 2 challenges at 2 different forums, the monthly sketch challenge at Scrapboxx and the Coloriffic Chaos challenge at Diversity Designs

this one was done just because I felt like doing it.

The boys are staying at their Grandma's (Garry's mum) for the weekend, they were only ment to be staying for Friday night but she said she would have them till Monday. At first I was like "oooo time to myself" but now I am so bored, the house is way too quiet (ok its not quiet right now cause Garry is watching the footy, but it has been quiet all day), and I had too much sleep, 10 hours, eeek.

I sent off my album for the A-Z competition today, wont get to see it again until atleast the end of May according to the rules in the magazine. It was so hard to let go of it, but I guess it had to happen, I put so much work into it, I might as well go all the way.

I decided that my website needed a face lift, I liked the old layout but I needed something different, most of the pages have been updated, I just need to do all the scrapbooking pages. If anyone knows how to put a picture on a blogger template I would love to know how, for some reason it is just not working for me, I would love to get my blog matching my site.

ITs All Over

Well I have done it, my A-Z album is complete. I had to change a few letters from what I wanted to do, but I am still quite happy with the end result.
I have also done another layout, started as a sketch challenge but I turned it around and put photos in completly different place and now it looks nothing like the sketch lol.
Hopefully now that the album is finished I can concentrait on pages of the boys, and maybe even my BOM. I feel in a way that I have been neglecting my normal photos lol.

I found the most adorable cafe this week, its out in the middle of nowhere, with lovely cuntry views, chooks wandering around and some cows nextdoor. I could so handle living there, having a nice studio set up with a view over all the beautiful scenery, now I think I may just have to go buy a lotto ticket so I can buy that place LMAO.

The boys have a site

I have always had a website with photos of the boys set up, but ever since the person who was hosting the site didn't renew their account I just never go around to setting up another site. Finally I kicked myself in the bum and decided to do it. I set up a .mac account, its nothing special but it is doing the job. The other option would be to upgrade my website so it had php enabled but I can't afford to do that, at the moment I am paying $0 for hosting to make a grand total of $24.95US a year spent on my site, if I upgraded it would be an extra $95US a year and even though thats not heaps, it would mean it would cut into my very precious scrapping money LMAO.

What scrapbook lines/products etc do you dislike?
oh my, ummmm, oh I know, I don't really like fibres, I have never been able to work those out LMAO, oh and stamps that are pictures I just can't make them look good LMAO

What is the hardest thing you ever had to scrap?
my T is for Turtles layout, the week before I did it we had found a turtle with its back legs cut off and Shannon asked me if I could "make it alive again". Such a sweet thing for him to say but made me so close to tears...

What technique do you use more than anything else?
painting painting paints, half my clothes have paint stains, my desk and cutting mat are covered in paint, and if I am scrapping I have to come inside to wash my hands atleast 3 times LMAO.

What is the smallest scrap of paper you save?
I have some that would be about 3cmx3cm

Have you ever had any scrapping related injuries?
cutting myself with the knife (actually just did it again about an hour ago) and hitting my fingers with the hammer when setting eyelets

Finish this sentence, "If I wasn't a scrapbooker/stamper, I would spend my money on..." Nothing, before I scrapped I never spent money on me. Sad I know...

Scrap Scrap Scrapping

Well I finally scrapped, its for my Creative Team stuff at Kirky's Kreations. The papers were printed onto plain printer paper, and the writting and "doodles" were added to the photo in Photoshop before printing. The kit used is a new one called Bubbles of Lurve, the font is Comicate and the brushes are by Magic Box.

Also in the good new department I lost another 2kg so now since New Years I have lost 7kg YAY its the first time in over a year I have been under 80kg, I definatly don't want to go over it again, it scares me to think that according to the BMI thingy I was 1 number away from being officially obese, hopefully I will be able to keep it up...

Well I am back

Well a fair bit to write about I guess, I'll just start from the begining (I'll go day by day)

Sunday - Woke up bright and early and left the house by 7.20am (ment to leave at 7, but some people like to be late). It was pooring and quite cold so we were all wearing not quite summer clothes which I was rather glad of as we got completely saturated between the car and the doors to the airport. Shannon grabbed the window seat first which ment Rohan whinged the whole way about not being able to see out the window, but other then that they were both fairly well behaved.

Monday - Went shopping for Rohan and Dad's pressents from my family. The boys bother got a few things, and I got some bras. Nothing much else happened.

Tuesday - Dad's birthday, didn't do much through out the day, did play that stupid Sing Star game with Mandy (my sister), but my Nana (mum's mum) came over for dinner, had a yummy roast pork (I never get roast pork lol), and a yummy mousse cake thing for dessert. Mandy that it would be funny to get those candles that relight themselves after you blow them out, both the boys thought it was hillarious having to blow them out over and over. Nana gave Rohan some of those medieval little people, he really loves the dragons, he has two of them now.

Wednesday - Rohan's birthday, my little guy turned 3, I can't believe how fast it all happens. He got a little people aeroplane and firetruck which he loved. We went to this kids play land thing, lots of kids making lots of noise and half decent coffee, headed home for lunch that off to Miranda where Rohan got the rest of the animal packs for the little people alphabet zoo, now all he needs is the train and he will have all the animals. We had McDonald's for dinner and a Freddo Frog icecream cake which Rohan didn't end up eating (Shannon asked from seconds lol).

Thursday - I was woken up by Rohan at 4am when he had started up the stairs and decided halfway he couldn't keep going, but he couldn't get back down. He was coughing and had a really bad temp, he ended up getting into bed with me and slept till 8.30 (really 9.30 seeing as there is the hour time difference in Sydney). He didn't eat any breakfast, but I managed to get him to eat some chips at the airport while waiting for our plane. Got on the plane (Rohan got the window seat this time), Rohan was being grumpy still and coughing a bit, and kept putting the window blind down which was annoying Shannon because he wanted to look out. Shannon kept wanting to talk to the flight attendents, and eventually one of them said if they behaved they might be able to see the pilot when we landed. Rohan sat on my lap and rested and eventually we landed, waited for everyone to get off and then the boys got to go up and see the pilot, I wish I had have had my camera but I had packed it away. Anyway we got home, Rohan proceded to throw up the chips all over the floor, and wouldn't eat dinner, got alot worse during the night and we were this close to taking him to the hospital but decided to just wait till morning and see the doctor.

Friday - Took Shannon to pre-school (he was ment to go Wednesday and Thursday too but obviously couldn't), then Rohan up the the dr where after sitting the the waiting room for about 15 minutes we went in and I was asked if that was Rohan coughing, when I said yes I was informed he had croup. So we got a 'script for some steroids and was sent home.

Anyway nothing much has happened since then, Rohan is getting better but still coughing, his nose started running today but I guess thats just all the nasties getting out. Hopefully he will be all better by Thursday so he can go back to Kindy, he really hates missing it.

Photo Shoot

I rigged up my own little photo shoot today with the boys, I got two chairs and drapped a sheet over them and got them to sit down. Rohan wasn't overly interested so every shot of him came out blurry, but I got some crackers from Shannon, man he is such a silly bugger hahaha.

Unfortunatly the batteries in my camera ran out so I had to cut the session short, but I definatly want to do it again, was lots of fun, and I am going to get the tripod out next time so I don't have to lean at a horrible angle to the coffee table lol.

I won't be around until atleast Thursday as we head off to Sydney nice and early tomorrow morning, not looking forward to the early wake up call (we are leaving the house at 7) but maybe I will get lucky and the boys will have a sleep on the flight down...ok I know I know, I am going crazy hahaha.

X is for fox?

ok so I tried and tried and tried to find a picture of an x-ray fish, but I swear there is nothing out there, so I cheated and just decided to use a word with X in it, so for now X is for foX hahaha. Hey well in the For Keeps mag all the X layouts were words with X rather then starting with X.

Anyway I am quite happy with it, the chipboard letter didn't turn out great, note to self, never use crappy glue to put paper on chipboard if you are going to then cover it with Dimentional Magic, paper must be stuck to surface entirely LMAO

I'm starting to get excited, less then a week till we are in Sydney. The boys keep looking up when they hear a plane over head and if it is a Virgin Blue plane they yell "there's our plane" lol (for those who don't know Virgin Blue planes are red, it confused the boys the last time we went on one and someone asked if they went on Virgin Blue and they sdaid "no the red plane" LMAO.

I was inspired by those tailored tab things when making this layout, I was so tempted to buy some when I was cropping yesterday but I wanted to have lunch and then wouldn't have enough for the tabs, so I decided to make my own using ribbon, I think they came out pretty good if I do say so myself hahaha. I also used Dimentional Magic for the first time, man thats pretty stuff hahaha.

As of next Sunday we will be in Sydney, ok so not for long, only until the 9th, but still it will be great to visit my family again, they boys are both very excited...

still feeling a bit meh, had no kids today as they were both at Preschool and Kindy which was nice, but I was so utterly bored out of my mind. I couldn't even sleep, I layed down in bed at 1.30ish thinking of getting in an hour before picking the boys up but I felt really dizzy and everytime I closed my eyes it felt like I was falling which made me want to be sick. I have felt like that ever since (I was worried as I was walking up to school that I might fall over but I didn't hehehe).
I have decided I am going to go to Scrap That tomorrow as they have a free crop thing going on, so hopefully that will get me out of the ditch I am in. I did manage to fix a layout last night that I had stuffed up, I was doing a double in 8.5x11 but accidently cut one piece of cardstock 7.5x11 but didn't realise until I had finished. I guess it could have been worse, it could have been cut 9.5x11 which would have been bad as there are chipboard letters across the whole width of both pages, there is no way I could have cropped an inch off it. I will post the finished layout ASAP, Garry needs to re-install the scanner though so will be tomorrow night at the earliest...

I don't know why I am feeling so crappy lately, I have just been tired and lacking in motivation to do anything, I don't feel like doing anything around the house, I don't want to go anywhere, I don't want to scrap, I don't even want to go on the computer really, I just want to lie in bed and sleep all day (not that I get to do that but I would like to lol). Maybe it is just the horrible weather we are having lately, it has been so stuffy, its just been building up and up and today it finally broke and decided to rain, but it hasn't really made it any better really.
Anyway just needed to bitch about feeling crap lol.

Ali gave us a challenge to post our 10 favourite layouts that we have created, and seeing as my life is boring and I have nothing to write about I figured that it would be a good thing to post hahaha. so here they are...

M is for Moose

Another A-Z layout, even though this layout is rather plain I think it looks great, the scan doesn't do it justice, in real life you can see all the texture in the paint from when I peeled the mesh off after painting it, I came across the idea by accident when I was painting some mesh to use on another layout and had stuck it to a piece of paper while painting it, when I pulled the mesh off it left this impression of the mesh which I just loved.

I really can't pin point what it is I love about this layout, it just really appeals to me, it all just fell together so well.

RiverFire 04

I sort of had this layout planned before I took the photos, but as I was taking the photos I thought it was never going to be. I love this layout becuase I am amased that I actually got the photos to turn out, my trusty little fuji actually handled the distance, even though I did have to use the flash to stop the blur from occuring.

Grateful

A layout for my book of me. I did a bit of experimenting with this, and discovered that if I just hammered my eyelet setting into the paper it cut out a little star shape which I thought was quite cool lol.

Jingle All The Way

not much of a layout, but it was my first ever paper layout, I really think that I did a pretty good job at it too hehehe.

I finally managed to get a decent photo of Shannon's mouse, everytime I have tried to get one I cant as he is always in his cage or in the container we put him in when cleaning his cage. But today I decided to put him in the bath while cleaning the cage and try and get a photo, this is the only one that turned out, all the others have heads or entire bodies cut off lol, he is a very active mouse when he wants to be.

OMG we survived Christmas! The boys got way to many presents, I ate way to much food, and the weather was way to hot. I took these pictures on boxing day, I had to touch up the one of Shannon a bit as it was slightly blurry, but the one of Rohan is as it was taken.

Shannon had asked for a mouse for Christmas, and we were going to buy it, but the weather was ment to be really hot, and we were going to Garry's sister's for lunch so, mouse + hot day + closed house = dead mouse, not a very good thing to come home to on Christmas Day. So instead we just got him the cage and let him choose his own mouse.
He wanted a white one but no-one sold them, so he got a little black (well its really a dark brown but he says its black) one. The nasty little rat bit me on the way home though lol. The woman at the pet store had put him in a cardboard box like the ones they put birds into, and in the car he had started trying to poke his head through the air holes, so I had put the box on my lap and was pushing his head back in when he stuck it out, he finally gave up, or so I thought, he was working on the bottom holes and suddenly jumped out of the box and onto my lap! I grabbed him and thats when he bit me on the finger and thumb, and I threw him into the centre console for the rest of the trip home. We were lucky I didn't crash the car lol.

Rohan started at his new kindy a few weeks ago, and he really seems to like this one alot more, and I have to say that I prefer the way they do things there, at the new one when I am leaving they encourage him to say good bye and then go and do something else (at the other one they would just hold him while he was bawling), now he doesn't cry when I leave. They also encourage him to go to the potty (at the old one whenever I put trainer pants in they would come home untouched), this week both times I picked him up he had been sitting on the potty. He seems alot happier, he says goodbye to everyone when we leave, and he already has some friends. Oh and I can't forget the two resident guinea pigs they have there. Poor things are allowed to be picked up by the kids hehehe, apparently Rohan loves them and spends alot of the day playing with them.

Oh and news on the A-Z album, ONLY 5 PAGES TO GO!!!! Once I have done them I will cover the album (its a Heidi Swapp album that I am going to cover with the left over peices of Scrapography paper. I have had a couple of problems with my website but once that is fixed you will be able to view the album on my site, all the pages are uploaded at Scrapboxx though so you can view them there.

Well it seems like forever since I have scrapped due to being too busy and having a lack of supplies due to a lack of money, but I have finally done it, I finished of those bloody canvases that I have been planning since like June lol. I didn't really like them as I was making them, but the closer I got to finishing it the more I liked them. I don't know why the picture has that white spot on the left hand side as it isn't on the canvas.

Christmas is nearly here, its almost over, then everything can go back to normal. I love Christmas time, but seriously it also drives me batty. It is hard to get a parking space at the shops, everyone seems to not give a toss about anyone else and just barges past of blocks the whole aisle while looking for things, and really it can just be rather nasty. It would be lovely if people remembered that Christmas (even if you arn't celebrating it as the birth of Jesus Christ, if you havn't worked it out I don't believe in Christ so I am not doing it for that) is a time to be with family and friends and to respect the people around you.

yes I know, I have been neglecting my blog (along with my sites and the forums I haunt), I just havn' been in the mood for it.

Anyway we have been to Sydney, it rained and rained and rained and was cold the whole time we were there, then when we were getting ready to go home the sun came out!
We didn't get to do much really, we went to Miranda 3 times (one time was to spend the $200 my parents gave me for my birthday), we were planning on a trip to Cronulla so the boys could go to the beach, but with the rain it wasn't worth it, and we went to the Aquarium which the boys really enjoyed, I got some pretty good photos of the fish.

Anyway yeah thats about it for me...

Well we have decided that we are going to be selling my baby **sob** my lovely white shiny baby that is oh so faithful, never crashes and has done me well for the past year and a half. Ok so if you can't tell I am talking about my computer lol. But hey its not all bad. I now have a bigger, better and faster baby. A lovely G4 Power Mac with a 20" widescreen display, it looks so massive lol.

Anyway if anyone wants to buy a nearly 2 year old eMac for $600 email me hahaha...

Well I finally got some more of my A-Z album done. Not to sure about the Quokka one, but I do like the Puffin one.
I finally got to go to a crop last night, everyone else was doing Christmas cards so I was the only one scrapping, but hey, watcha gonna do? lol. I still had a good time which is the main thing.

I don't know why but for the last week or so I have just felt so tired, I seriously would go back to bed at 9am if I didn't have the kids here, right now I am struggling to keep my eyes open. Its really starting to drive me nuts because when I do try to do something it takes me forever to do it, not that I really feel like doing anything, I'd prefer to be just lying on the lounge dozing.

I went to the Brissy meet up yesterday with the scrapboxx girls, lots of fun, got to look at lots of albums, the boys got spoilt by Peta and I even got injured getting into Sue's car on the way home, I pulled a muscle in my stomache and then another one in my leg (my leg still hurts lol).

Shannon is staying home from kindy today as he has a bad cough and a temperature, Rohan is there but was crying lots when I left, he was grumpy because he couldn't watch Rubbadubbas on ABC LMAO.

Well a few weeks ago I got a Hoyts movie money voucher thing as a RAK, I originally wanted to take Shannon to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory but the other week when we were going to go he wasn't feeling well, and last week it wasn't on until later in the afternoon which would mean getting home after 6. The voucher ended in October so this was the last chance to go and the only movie they had that was suitable for children was Wallace and Gromit, so that is what we saw.
It was quite good, although it didn't draw too many laughs from the people in the cinema. I was totally blown away by the cost of it, I got a child's ticket, small popcorn and small lemonade and it was over $18! I can't believe the prices they are charging for the movies now, and they wonder why people would prefer to download a movie via the net or get a pirated one when they go on holidays to some asian country.
It was a good day though so I guess that is the main thing huh?

well last night I didn't go to bed until like 12.30, not becuase I wasn't tired, but because while I was reading my book at 11 I saw this gigantic huntsman walking down the wardrobe cupboard, then I lost sight of it, there was no way in hell I was going to go to sleep with that thing running around the room so I just kept reading while armed with a can of fly spray that unfortunatly was down to the last drops (am buying more today lol) and every shoe I own LMAO. It finally made an appearance at about 12.15, when I then attempted to spray it, unfortunatly there was not enough in the can to have any effect. I then proceded to get Garry to kill it, he seemed to think I was being silly, until he saw it, it was seriously bigger then my hand, and it was bloody fast too, it took him like 5-10 minutes to get it, now it is out in the garden, all squashed flat by one of my shoes, gotta love the things shoes are good for lol...

ok well that is the definition of a drought, lets just say that since moving to the Redlands we have not really gone for a really long time without rain, this whole "we are in drought" thing seems like a way of shifting the blame. Seems that the government just doesn't know how to manage their water and they are looking for excuses. Sure we need to save water due to the dams being down and all that, but it must really annoy the people who live in woop woop who havn't had a decent rain in 3 years when they hear people in the city complaining about the fact that they havn't had any rain for the past 2 weeks.

I guess there is one plus with all this rain we have had the last week, no one really needs to be watering their gardens so that should save some water shouldn't it?

However Rohan decided to start "sorting" them by throwing them around the room. Then he started putting one of my shirts on, at first he had his head through one of the arms lol, I ended up helping him, and got some photos in the process...

Rowwie isn't well. I woke up this morning to him standing next to my scrapping desk being sick, he then did a really big poo that burned his bum, and has just now done another poo that was like water and leaked straight out of his nappy, had to throw him in the shower to clean him off which he was not happy about.

He seems ok, as in he is playing and doing things he would normally do, but we are going to be keeping a close eye on him...

ok I don't know what it is (ok so it is probably the wet weather and being cooped up indoors for the past week) but the boys are driving me up the wall. They wont to what they are told, the only way we can get them to do things is to yell at them, they are fighting with each other oever every little things, they wont eat their food when it is put infront of them, but when I take it from the table after they have gone and started playing for 1/2 hour they come back and start chucking a hissy fit because I have thrown it in the bin. I swear if things don't change soon I will be booking myself into a mental institution.

On the bright side, I have managed to get quite a bit of scrapping done lately, have done 1 card, about 4 layouts, a couple of OTP things. I really need to get some money so I can just go and splurge on scrapping supplies lol...

so an admirer? LMAO. Ok well the image change was an accident, I was changing my avatar at a forum and must have accidently overwritten the picture. And no there is not a great abundance of photos of me on the net as the camera does not like me. I think I need to get a camera that hides fat, blemishes, baggy eyes, mmmm a magical camera that gets rid of all flaws, now thats a brilliant idea.

Anyway we have had a rather busy week, last Wednesday Rohan woke up with a really high temp, was shivering all over and claiming he was cold, was too early for the GP so up to the hospital we ventured. He had tonsillitis, they gave him antibiotics, he slept until lunch time on Thursday and then he was full of beans. So it would seem that the antibiotics did him well.

Sunday was Shannon's birthday party, lots of fun, played games, had cake, lollies, chips, cocktail frankfurts, all that good fattening party food. Shanny was complaining of a sore tummy, we assumed he had to many lollies, but Monday he still had a sore tummy, we gave him medicine about 6pm cause he had a temp, we checked him at around 7.15 and he was still 41! so it was another trip up to the hospital, we sat there till midnight, only to be told they couldn't find anything wrong and to give him panadol to keep his temperature down.

Oh and Shannon is officially enrolled in Preschool, I took in the forms yesterday and he will start the second week of school next year, I so can't believe my little man is going to school!!!

So it would appear that I may have Tonsillitis. I have had pain when I swallow since yesterday and I checked in the mirror today and my throat is all red and the tonsill on the left side is all swollen (for some reason when ever I have a sore throat it is only on the left side, weird). Hopefully it will get better soon, I wont be able to see my dr until atleast Tuesday so there is probably no point in goin anyway.

Thanks to all the people who have commented on my blog the last few days, it is nice to know there are people out there and I am not talking to myself (you know first sign of madness and all)...

Well I feel like crap. I have a headache, a blocked nose (or should I say dnosed? lol), I feel like I am going to puke, my glands are swollen and my joint ache, think I might have the flu lol.

I managed to finish all the circle journals I have sitting in my tray tonight, will be sending them on tomorrow. I am so glad to have finally finished them, only one of them is late though so its not too bad. I have also painted my canvases and just have to get some mod podge so I can adhere the "layouts" to them and then cover them with it. Just have to work out where to buy that stuff lol, anyone have any ideas?

Well I am going to go to bed and see if I can actually sleep...

My God, why do I keep torturing myself? I will be planning a layout, and think "stitching will look good here" so start stitching away completely forgetting the last time I stitched on a layout. I started stitching at 2pm yesterday afternoon, I was still going at 12.15 when I went to bed, I am about to attempt finishing it in a sec. But the layout still has so many things to be done to it though, I will be lucky if it is finished by next week lol.

Yesterday was Garry's birthday, we only gave him a card as we are a bit low on money, but he got a lighter and chocolates for Father's day so that sorta makes up for it, we do alot of combining present here lol. I made him a card using one of the printable kits from Kirky's Kreations and he has it sitting next to his computer.
The boys have colds or the flu or something. They both got sick on Friday so I think it is fair enough to say they got it at kindy seeing as they both went on Thursday. Fingers crossed they are better by this Thursday as they both love kindy, plus I want to deal with getting things for Shannon's party without being harrassed by children LMAO.

And to "annoymous" I had a look at some pictures of the Roseola rash and it didn't look like that, so don't think that is what it was. I guess we will never know, atleast he is ok though, thats all the matters...

Well I have some good news, I got accepted onto the Creative Team at Kirky's Kreations. The site is a digital scrapping site but I am a paper scrapper using the digital elements (as in I print them out and use them as paper). I have already made a few things with the elements and I am really enjoying it.
I have done a few layouts since my last update but I am not going to post them here anymore, layouts will be able to be found at my main site WitchyMama.info. I am still getting them all up, I have all the A-Z ones and the ones that are in my main album.
I have started getting things together for Shannon's party, I still can't believe that my little man is turning 4 in only 9 days! The time has just flown by. His party is going to be the weekend after and it will be the first time that he has invited friends, luckily he didn't pick too many lol.
And the biggest news of all....I have lost 2kg in the last 2 weeks!!! I am now down to 83kg, hopefully I will be able to keep this up, I am starting to think I will never loose weight lol.

Withdrawal

is anyone else having Scrapboxx withdrawal? The site has been down since last night, and I keep going there, even though my brain is telling me it probably wont be back until tomorrow. I need my fix, I couldn't chat last night, I want to post about things, I was to read things, I WANT THE BOXX BACK!!!

Ok anyway, I'm back lol. My big news is I am going to be a Creative Team member at Kirky's Kreations. I will be doing paper scrapping using her digital designs, I have been stocking up on white cardstock ever since I found out last week and can't wait to get started, I have lots of plans for this lol.

Yesterday Rohan woke up with a horrible rash in his nappy area, it was all red and had little bumps through it that looked like a cross between blisters and mozzie bites, he had been scratching at it but it didn't worry me too much until later I noticed he had some on his chest and face. Rang the GP "cant get him in til 4.30" so decided to take him to the hospital. We waited for 1 hour to see the nurse! And she said it would be a long wait. I checked him about an hour later and guess what? In usual kid fashion the rash was gone. So we ended up leaving without seeing a Dr.

Well I have finally finished the D, E and F letters for my A-Z album, I am working on A and C and have B planned. I am going to try and get them done in the next week, I really only have to do journalling for A and C so that shouldn't be a really hard task. And then once that is done I am going to aim to get 1 letter done a week, that should put me in a good possition to get it all finished by the April deadline.

On Friday Rohan went off to Garry's mum's for the night, he went just before lunch so I took the opertunity to get Shannon to do some scrapping as he has been showing alot of interest. I am so proud of what he has done, it is really good considering he isn't yet 4. He is really proud of it too and thinks it is great that it now has its own place in Mummy's scrapbook.

That night I went to a crop out Logan way, OMG what a horrible night I had LMAO. The crop was great, but it all went bad when I was driving there, before I even got to the pacific motor way I went through a big swarm of bugs and they got all over my windscreen. Then I got on the motorway and apparently I was ment to get the first exit so I could get onto the logan motorway, but being someone who has never been that way before I didn't realise that, so I missed the exit, I didn't realise this until I was 3/4 of the way to the Gold Coast, I see a sign saying "exit for Dreamworld" then I drive past Dreamworld and I think "Shit I have gone way to far". So instead of it taking me 40 minutes it took me 1 1/2 hours to get there! I did get there though.
Then on the way home I hit a roo, although I don't think I actually got him, I checked the car out in the morning and the only damage I saw was a couple of scuff marks and a tiny bit of fur, and I checked out where it happened and I couldn't see any body so that is a good sign. Was a rather eventful evening though.

I am going to add all the entries from my old blog here too seeing as I will be using this from now on...

ok so last Monday (OMG that was a hole week ago) we took Shannon to the Ekka, he had so much fun, he got to go on the merry go round, and do that game where you put the balls in the clowns mouth (hehehe that always makes me laugh, I'm so immature lol) where he got to have a helicopter (he didn't actually win though thats what they gave you if you didn't win). We mostly did the animal thing, Shannon has now informed us that we are going to own lots of little piggies and 1 goat.

We were lucky to arrive there at all. We were originally going to be getting the train in but when we arrived at the station the line for tickets was going around the corner, so we decided to get a bus into the city and walk from there. On the way in (I think it was just after Caringdale) this car pulls out right in front of us. Luckily we had a driver who has very good reflexes because he slammed on his breaks (while beeping the horn lol) and we ended up missing the car by a few centimetres! It definatly woke us all up on the bus, and hopefully it woke the moron who was driving the car up.

The scary thing is that I had someone do exactly the same thing to me on Thursday, I was driving up to the new Scrap shop to get some Bazzill and at the lights infront of "Town Centre" this woman turned onto the main road, meanwhile I was halfway through the intersection. I swear driving is so scary when you have people on the road who shouldn't be allowed to drive. And the womans car was all dented in at the back, I wonder how that one happened? Someone needs to go be retested I think...

well today was pretty boring, had to go to Garry's mum's cause she go a digital set top box but has no idea about anything like that so Garry hooked it up for her. We have to go back there tomorrow morning, she is going to look after Rohan for the day while we take Shannon to the Ekka, should be lots of fun. We are mostly going to do the animal thing, but we might go on the ferris wheel and merry go round, and we want to get the boys a showbag each. I'll be sure to post some photos from our big day out, and I will have to try to eat as healthy as possible lol.

Speaking of foods, heres my menu for the day:

Breakfast - tea, white & 1
snack - tea, white & 1
lunch - macaroni cheese, juice
snack - macadamia and apricot bar, 4 strawberries, 2 slices of salami
dinner - home made pizza, juice

there is a new scrapping store that just opened up the road from me, OMG I am going to be ruined financially, I have just spent some time at their site and created a cart so I could see what I want and just remove it after I have bought it, and it has over $500 worth of supplies in it!

Anyway, I actually have been able to scrap lately which is great, I love all the new things I got off Liz, so yummy. I covered my Heidi Swapp album, I started my A-Z album, the theme is Animals, have made 1 double layout, and I can now officially show my design team entry for Scrapboxx as I didn't get the possition, but congratulations to Ali who did.

ok so it isn't really broken I just lost my password to get into it and for some odd reason it wont give me a new one lol, and to top it off, I have lost all my ftp info so I can't even try starting from scratch, Will have to wait for Tessa to get back to get it, I was actually thinking of not even bothering with it anymore. I never use it, and so I feel I am just wasting space that Tessa could be using for something more productive. Maybe this might be a better option?

Anyway I have actually been scrapping lately! its scary lol. I did a design team application for Scrapboxx and also a book of me page. And next week my scraping supplies should arrive from Liz so then I will be able to scrap until my hearts content lol.

I havn't really been around in the dolling scene much, havn't updated Dollie Addiction in ages, hardly ever go to Coco Cabana, I don't know why but I just can't seem to get back into it all, its like I am slipping away from dolling. I do still try to do it, but I'm not enjoying it as much as I used to.

Hopefully I will be able to keep this one going, I am thinking of trying to do a weightloss diary again, so I could do that here.

oh and here is the BOM page I did, it isn't that great, the DT application is much better but I can't show that off yet...

Finally got to go scrapping today, I didn't do any layouts, but I did do an altered journal for my mum for Mothers' Day. I am quite happy with it, and am considering trying to find a decent address book that I can do to match it for her. I also found the perfect patterned paper for a layout I want to do of Shannon helping with the vegi garden, and it was only 50c YAY hehehe.

Shannon has a temperature at the moment, he has been a bit "absent" since he got home from Kindy, I'm just hoping that it isn't chicken pox, because the preschool class has had a few cases, and that is right next to his class, and they share the playground with each other. I guess if it is pox then we will find out in the next day or so.

Todays Menu:

Breakfast- Juice (I was in a rush so didn't get to eat)

Snack- Tea, white, 1 sugar

Lunch- Bacon Dulux meal from Hungry Jacks

Dinner- home made chicken burgers (chicken breast, lettuce, cheese, tomato, bread roll

Today I had to take the boys to Kindy to get their class photos taken. We spent about 1/2 hour playing in Rohan's class because it was pouring with rain so all the extra kids couldn't play outside. Finally it was the Toddler class's turn (thats Rohan), there were only really 15 or so kids there and unlike what I was originally thinking, getting a bunch of 2 year olds to sit still isn't that hard at all. Rohan didn't want to sit there, so they got him to sit on one of his teachers laps which he did ok. It took about 5 minutes all up.

Then it was the Kindy class's turn (Shannon's class), and well, there were around 30 kids there and boy did it take forever. I swear it would have been 15-20 minutes. But they finally got a good shot. We also got some individual shots of the kids playing on some equipment (Rohan didn't want to stand still or anything), and I also got one of both the boys together hugging. I believe that the proofs are ment to be available to view next week, and then we get to choose which shots we like.

Oh and I also set up a paypal account to try and get funds to upgrade my hosting plan for Dollie Addiction, it is currently set up at my Witchy Mama.info site, but when I have the Dollie Addiction site up and running again it will be moved there...

well yes, I know, I have neglected my blog again, I know, I know. Sorry Tessa, I seem to just be wasting your space hehehe.

Anyway life has been fairly hectic for us, we have had sickness (I ended up in hospital on a drip when I had orignally taken Rohan there because he was throwing up), our car broke, it could go forwards but not backwards, we managed to be able to get it fixed in 1 day, it cost us $440, which means I wont be getting my gym membership this fortnight.

I will be getting my membership next pay (if nothing else goes wrong), I have decided to just get a months membership first to see how I go, I don't really want to spend $360 on a 6 month one and then discover that I am not enjoying it and have just wasted my money. I'm getting excited about it though, I put some trackpants on layby and am buying a new pair of runners seeing as mine seem to be falling apart lol.

We put Shannon on his bike today (we finally got him a helmet for it) but it is a little too big for him, he has to stretch his leg to reach the pedal when it is at the bottom, maybe we should get him some platform shoes LMAO.

And I think some moron has been direct linking from the dollieaddiction.net domain, I reached my traffic quota and so now my site is down for the rest of the month, I have never even come close to reaching it before. I am going to set up a paypal account so if anyone feels generous they can donate money towards me getting the payed plan, which will give me access to the .htaccess file so I can set it up so you get a nasty image when you direct link hehehe, I might set that up here for now until Dollie Addiction is back up and running...

Well after a long time of not posting thought I should update. I have been so neglecting things on the net lol, havn't updated Dollie Addiction since January, the same with the boys site (but that is because our digital camera is broken. I've just gotten back into Coco Cabana properly, we have alot of big plans, new challenges, trying to get the year book set up, and heaps of other cool stuff.
I am offically trying to loose weight, which is why there is a new section called "Loosing It". I will be posting everything about me loosing weight there.

Well after having a very long break from the internet due to my headaches returning, I discovered that I no longer had a blog because the server crashed, so here is the all new Yelling Thoughts. Very empty right now but it should fill up pretty quickly.

Anyway, the boys both started Kindy last week (there seems to be some confusion with the word Kindy, some people use it to refer to "Preschool" which is part of the school system, and call daycare preschool, but here Kindy is DayCare and PreSchool is part of the public/private school system). Shannon goes on Mondays and Thursdays, and Rohan is going on Thurdays.

Well thats it for now, gotta go work on organising things for uploading...
